Hi, I’m Christine-Evette Ngeve
I am from Greensboro, NC. I went to Shaw University, where I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Social Work in 2019. I graduated from North Carolina State University in 2021 with my MSW. I am a Doctoral candidate at the University of Arizona in their PsyD Sport and Performance program. While at Shaw University, I also played Volleyball, Softball, and Track and Field. Needless to say, time management and organization became my best friend!
I was blessed to be recognized as the 2019 CIAA Woman of the Year and the 2019 NCAA Top 30 Woman of the Year Honoree. I understand the delicate balance between being a student and an athlete.
My passion for academic support started when I began my Masters program at NC State. I served as an Academic Mentor and Assistant Learning Specialist, primarily working with the football team. I also volunteered at North Carolina Central University as a Learning Specialist with their football team. This also led to my desire to provide a space for student-athletes to be themselves outside of their sport. The pressures and the expectations that student-athletes are required to meet are extensive. Due to this, it is not a lot of time to build on your craft as a person outside of your sport. I aim to create that safe space for you to explore what life looks like as you transition.
Whether you are here for academic support or have recently hung up your jersey, just know that I am here to help you start your Peak Potential Journey!
